The Department of Sociology, at the University of California, Santa Cruz is pleased to announce its new Graduate Programs Coordinator, Meenoo Kohli!
While Meenoo is new to the staff team, she is a longstanding Sociology Department member, and we couldn’t be more excited to work with her in this capacity. Meenoo first joined Sociology in 2008 as a graduate student in the Ph.D. program, with a designated emphasis in environmental studies. She has an M.A. in sociology from NYU, an MBA from the University of Maryland, and a paralegal certificate from Berkeley Extension. She has several years of experience as a teaching fellow and teaching assistant in our department, and brings additional administrative and community leadership experience from past positions.
Meenoo will provide much needed academic and administrative support to the department’s graduate program including:
- student advising
- program planning, analysis, and administration
- Academic Student Employment (ASE titles), and training
- graduate student recruitment, admissions, and orientation
- graduate program budget management
