Research Interests

I am especially motivated to develop a deeper understanding of how low-income residents and low-budgt organizations negotiate conditions of water scarcity. My current work in Nepal involves working with existing organizations to better understand the impacts of the Melamchi Diversion Project and to promote fair and equitable, pro-poor development through participatory action research. This current project builds on a broader set of water justice themes that interest me, including fairness and equity in water transfers and the protection of aboriginal water rights.
