* Responsible for academic planning: temporary academic staffing (TAS) and curriculum leave planning (CLP)
* Academic research
* Program and curriculum evaluation and planning
* Course development, approvals, and modifications
* Responsible for allocations regarding teaching assistant planning, including training, method, and lab instruction
* Resource for academic data and processes, as well as clarifications on enrollments and academic planning processes
* Divisional contact for CLP account approvals
* Help with individual, departmental, or research center issues
* Academic Human Resources (as impacting on academic or research issues) including, for example, the Enhanced Emeriti Program, research fellowships or GSR questions linked to grants, or questions regarding lecturers
* Address questions surrounding funding opportunities, strategies, and the grants process for both government and private sources. Divisional liaison to the Student Success/EAB Advisory Committee, the Classroom Subcommittee (along with Jill Esterás), and the Chancellor's Diversity Advisory Council.
* Identifies government and private funding opportunities and strategies
