Position: Steering Committee Member
Duration: Winter 2007-Present
In Spring 2007 I helped organize the Genomics and Justice Conference held May 17-18, 2007 at the University of California, Santa Cruz. The conference brought together scholars from around the globe to discuss emergent ethical implications of the new genomic sciences. The conference was put together by the UCSC Science and Justice Working Group and supported by numerous groups and organizations inside as well as outside UCSC.
In Fall 2007 I initiated the "Energy Worlds" Colloquium Series as part of the UCSC SJWG. Energy Worlds is now an officially established subdivision of the UCSC SJWG.
