Research Focus 
I am currently working on my field statements in the areas of Sociology of Aging and Sociology of Disability. I am interested in the aging of people with developmental/intellectual disabilities (specifically in regard to historical treatment of people with developmental disabilities), institutionalization/ deinstitutionalization, quality of life and quality of care, successful aging, the Disability Rights Movement, and social programming initiatives.
